Early years
Co-founders Leon Chen and Tiffany Taylor met while in junior high school and later attended the University of Texas together. In 1999, during their sophomore year of college, Chen and Taylor began Tiffany's Treats (later Tiff's Treats), a warm cookie delivery service. Chen and Taylor distributed flyers to classmates in the University of Texas dorms, took orders via cellphone, and baked cookies in Chen's apartment. The service was immediately successful among students at the university, convincing Chen and Taylor to develop their service into a formal business, called Tiffany's Treats.
Tiffany & Co. Dispute
Tiffany's Treats changed its name to Tiff's Treats in 2003 after settling with jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. over a copyright dispute.

Expansion
After graduating from the University of Texas, Chen and Taylor decided to focus exclusively on Tiff's Treats. The business was initially unsuccessful and lost $15,000 during its first year of operation. However, the business later became profitable and operations were moved to a stand-alone storefront in central Austin in 2003. A second location in Dallas, TX was opened in 2006.
In 2008, Tiff's Treats started accepting investments from outside investors. Since 2008, Tiff's Treats has raised over $50 million in outside investments. Most recent was a Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital investment of $25 million in November. ref>"Warm cookie company Tiff's Treats gets sweet delivery: $11 million from Dallas Mayor Rawlings' firm | Retail | Dallas News".
